After the rain we have had the crops have had a new burst of energy. Wondering how i was going to carry it all home i decided using the wheelbarrow was my only option. I certainly caught a few admiring glances along the way. A 90 year old man stopped me praising my efforts and said it was so nice to see people still enjoying Allotments, although he said it was very strange that Women Allotment Garden now ! He used to have a Allotment in his younger days and it brought memories flooding back to him. His daughter used to hitch a ride in his Wheelbarrow as mine often do !

Today I visited Wisley Gardens. Now I have a long list of plants I would like. Its so inspirational, Pears grown over arches were amazing. Small Apple trees with the biggest Apples I have ever seen ! Fig trees in the fruit garden add a touch of class. Its certainly given me food for thought and inspired me to be more creative.

Is it just my imagination or are they early this year ? I realy must try making some Jam.

Im glad i brought in all the onions yesterday that have been dried. I also gathered some flowering Gladioli before they were spoilt by the rain, they look beautiful in a vase at home.
